Seth, Ruthy and Lacey in puppy heaven.

Picking a pup is not always easy. Our crew at Hearthside has grown from a room full of busy pups to gentle, easy-going hearth dogs. Nothing like a big ol' dog sprawled near the fire on cold winter nights.

All pups are adorable. That's a given. When you select a pup from us, we'll be happy to point out qualities we've noted in the various puppies. Like children, pups are born with their own specific nature.

Playing with the pups and observing them in the group is a great way to see the differences. After a little while, the blur of puppies 'thins'. Differences become more obvious. Who's the pesterer? Who's the shy one? Who's got spunk? Who wants nothing more than another sip of milk and a good nap? (The Garfield type...)

We invite puppy buyers to visit the crew both before and after birth. Visiting the parents is a great way to see what their combination of genetics might offer.

Feel free to contact us using the links on the contact page or our information posted there. Phone calls, e-mails and snail mails are always welcome.

Young friends are a constant at our house. The crew was raised around babies, toddlers and school-age children, plus an array of cats and kittens. These are my friends Kyle and Casey, little dog lovers.
